Keeping our Laker Family safe and healthy is our top priority. Guidelines for dealing with Covid-19 have been changing. We will continue to monitor these changes and updates from the CDC as well as local and state officials. We will provide specific information as we get closer to the first day of camp on Monday, June 28.
The following CDC recommendations will be followed for the Laker Family Camp this summer:
*Any player, coach, or family member that has tested positive for COVID 19 should stay at home. Any missed camp days will be refunded.
*Stay at home if you (or a member of your immediate household) are feeling sick or experiencing the following COVID-19 symptoms:
People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus.
People with these symptoms may have COVID-19: Cough. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. Fever of 100.4 degrees. Chills. Muscle pain. Sore throat. New loss of taste or smell.
*Players are advised to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces/personal equipment (including balls, mouthguards, sticks, water bottles, helmets, eyewear, pads, uniform).
*Do not share personal equipment, water bottles, towels.
We understand the level of concern regarding COVID-19 and encourage parents and players to continue following these guidelines:
Wash hands often w soap/water for at least 20 seconds
Cover coughs and sneezes
Limit close contact with people who are sick
Do not share food/drinks
Practice social distancing
Wear a face mask when possible
Monitor your health/symptoms
Stay home if you have COVID-19 symptoms, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, are awaiting test results, or have been exposed to someone (e.g. immediate family member) with symptoms or a confirmed or suspected case.
